ABOUT

Fresh Squeezed Opera will be presenting the world premiere of Fitz & Ginger, an immersive musical-theater experience, by Whitney George and Brittany Goodwin. FSO will once again team up with the Curiosity Cabinet and the Flea Theater for a co-presentation of the premiere of Whitney George’s and Brittany Goodwin’s “FiZz & Ginger”, a piece inspired by women of the prohibition era music and exploring the trope of the femme fatale. This immersive presentation will invite audience members into the atmosphere of a speak-easy lounge, complete with secret code word, waiters and waitresses and drinks. Audience members will be invited to dress in of-the-era costume, as will all actors and musicians involved. The core idea is to present this theme that is now put on a pedestal, and over the course of the evening, crack the facade of glamor and reveal the misogyny and racism of the time.
